Did you know that Lancaster has it's own Baseball team? They are the Lancaster Barnstormers and play in the downtown stadium, Clipper Magazine Stadium. The Barnstormers play teams with names such as York Revolution, Camden Riversharks, Southern Maryland Blue Crabs, and The Long Island Ducks to name a few. Since Lancaster is the Red Rose City and York is the White Rose City, when these two teams play we have our own version of the War of The Roses.
Tickets range from $7 to $12 dollars and the food is very tasty and reasonably priced. So you can treat the whole family to Americas favorite past-time, a good old baseball game. The stadium is only a few years old and is a wonderful venue to watch a game. Check out the Lancaster Barnstormers web site to see their schedule and also a listing of "special" nights with free give-a-ways. They play through the middle of September and then the playoffs begin.
When planing your trip remember O'Flaherty's Dingeldein House is only 2.8 miles from the stadium. Stay with us and we will help you plan your visit to get the most out of the many varied attractions in Lancaster County.
